    Description

Games are many things to different people. Some see games as gateways to an unknown universe while others see them as extensions of the world around them. Nintendo created Wii to fit everyone's ideal break away from the everyday. The wireless, freehand Wii Remote not only makes games easy to play, it makes them more fun than ever before. Accentuating the sense of touch in the game lets you feel the heat of emotion with each movement. Because up to four players can grab a Wii Remote and play, there's always a party ready to happen with Wii! The Wii Remote frees you from cords and excessive, complicated buttons without sacrificing game play depth. The motion sensors contained within the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk controller add totally new interactions to existing games while opening doors for new genres. Wii makes your senses come alive! Wireless and motion-sensitive, the Wii Remote offers an intuitive, natural way to play games. The controller plays into the conventional motions you make everyday. When you hit a drum, swing a tennis racket or swing a bat, why should you have to press a button to replicate these things? With the Wii Remote, you can use everyday motions to help make you the center of the game. Nintendo designed the Wii Remote to be the most multifaceted gaming device ever. It can be a sword for one game and then a steering wheel for racing games. It's your paintbrush, your golf club, your airplane, but most of all, it's your key to unlocking a world of fun you've never imagined.

To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated- the result is the Wii Remote. Nintendo fused the global familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device that differentiates the Wii from any other console that has come before it.

    Revolutionary control
Sporting the dimensions of a small traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. The magic of the Wii Remote's design lies within; acellerometers inside the controller body measure movement in all directions and at all speeds. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket as you swing your arm for a long forehand or a quick and hard backhand. In a 4x4 driving game it serves as a steering wheel, allowing you to swerve to avoid obstacles or pickup power-ups. In first-person shooters, the Wii Remote acts as a firearm that you can point directly at an on-screen enemy. The list of potential uses is enormous, and the light weight of the Wii Remote allows gamers to play for hours without feeling fatigued.

The Wii Remote boasts impressive technology for such a compact package.

As comfortable as it is functional

The Wii Remote is equally comfortable in right and left hands and houses just the right number of buttons for gaming- not so many that new players will get confused, but enough so that Wii games don't feel constrained. On the face of the remote are the D (or "plus") pad, a large "A" button which is used for major on-screen actions, and two small options buttons. Between the game buttons are a plus and minus buttons (which often act as "forwards" and "back"), as well as a "Home" button to engage the Wii home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like "B" button, perfect for timing releases of a bowling roll in Wii Sports.

Thankfully, battery life is excellent with the two included AA batteries, just as with the previous generation of Nintendo wireless controllers.

    Immersive intelligence

Along the bottom of the Wii Remote, four blue LED lights indicate which player position the remote is currently set to. The controller automatically connects to the Wii console via Bluetooth wireless technology. Below the LEDs, an expansion port lets you connect a number of devices including the Nunchuck and Classic controllers for Virtual Console gaming (Virtual Console games and controller accessories sold separately). Other features of the Wii Remote include adjustable rumble force-feedback and a reinforced wrist strap to ensure safe use. A speaker inside the remote gives the player feedback about the strength of swings or the accuracy of their moves- such as realistic tennis noises as the "racket" connects with the ball in Wii Sports. Overall, the physical design of the remote is extremely sturdy and of very high quality, ensuring countless hours of Wii gaming fun!

BEWARE!!! Ecoshopping sells junk! - Aug 22, 2010

In April 2010 I purchased a new Wii controller from ECOSHOPPING via Amazon.com. It was hardly used at all and in July I noticed that it didn't work. I've tried rechargeable and new alkaline batteries and it's just plain dead, no lights, nothing. With shipping, I think this controller was about $27, which was a pretty good deal at the time, but not for lasting only about 4 months of very little use. I recently contacted ECOSHOPPING who finally replied only to say that I should have contacted them within "half a month" of the purchase for them to help, otherwise they would do nothing. Of course, the controller was still working after "half a month". Anyway, my advice to Amazon shoppers is to keep ECOSHOPPING in mind and ask yourself if you want to take the chance spending your hard-earned money on extremely poor quality, but cheap products. I know I won't. Remember, you usually get what you pay for.

     Wii Remote - Aug 19, 2010

This product was an addition to my other remotes, however, it did not work properly. Instead of sending it back to the seller I worked with Nintendo and they replaced it as well as added another cover for it.

     awesome service - Aug 14, 2010

like what i bought and gotten it in a timely manor good service good product

     Good Product - Jul 16, 2010

Works well, delivered quickly. Use the wrist strap - you'll be glad you did.

Greate Wii remote controller - Jul 15, 2010

The product was as described. It works wonderful with Wii. We received the product a week earlier than I had expected. It was a very good shopping experience.

     A must have for multiplayer - Jul 12, 2010

It's Something you need for the wii so you there's not much you can do to review this. But this controller is what makes the wii different from other console's and what makes this console so good. It makes game's like tennis, golf and bowling so relistic and better than other console's. The last point I will make is this is a must if you want to play with other people. Something to bare in mind is wii play gets a controller with it but not a amazing game. So in short a must have if you want to play other people, but does cost a bit, it would be nice to be cheaper.

     Wii Controller - Jul 09, 2010

The product was delivered in a timely manner and was new as promised. A friend said for that price it would probably be a knock-off controller, but it is a Wii product. I bought two and they both work fine.

     Grandparents love Wii - Jul 07, 2010

Played Wii with friends and loved it.
Bought one for husband for Father's Day.
It serves as our receiver for Netflix
which we subscribed to after dropping our
    expensive Cable. It's a "two-fer" - two
benefits in one; fun game and video streamer!

     Wii Remote Controller - Jun 26, 2010

This was a present for my daughter, to supplement her game. It shipped and was received much quicker than quoted, and it works great.
    Thanks for the great service.

A must have for your Wii! - Jun 15, 2010

The Nintendo Wii only comes with 1 Wii Remote, so of course you have to buy at least a 2nd one (if not a 3rd and 4th one too).

This is the same Remote that comes with the console, and the rubber is included too.

A must to play with the wii. - May 30, 2010

What can I say? It's a remote and it makes the wii function! :o) I got a great price on Amazon though!! Totally worth it!

     Nice Wiimote - May 25, 2010

Received my wiimote in mint condition in a timely fashion.
    Genuine Wii remote.

     It's a Wiimote... - May 25, 2010

Not much to say except that it's another Wiimote. Keep in mind that a free Wiimote comes with the Wii Sports Resort game, so if you're interested in that game, that's a better choice for getting an extra Wiimote. I tend to stick with official controllers for my game consoles, as I tend to be skeptical about the reliability of third-party controllers. Get some NiMH rechargeable batteries (e.g. Eneloop) and you're good to go.

     Didn't work - May 17, 2010

I received the remote controller on time. I couldn't use it for about 3 weeks because my Wii console was not ready. So when I finnaly had the chance to use it, it wouldn't work. Since the item was new, I had faith it would work. I had thrown the box and everything else that came with it out by then. So now I have to buy another one, but not through Amazon.

     Wii Remote Control - May 15, 2010

This remote controller is working beautifully. I am very pleased with it and also the quick delivery.

WII Remote Controller performance - Apr 30, 2010

At first, the remote controller, acquired in early April of this year, worked fine and we were thoroughjly happy with it - HOWEVER,last week it suddenly failed in the middle of a game. Since, then, we got it to work once only, and now it doesn't seem to work at all. We are very disappointed and would like to either have it fixed, get another one, or have our money refunded. We don't know who to contact. Can anyone help?

     2 are better than 1 - Apr 21, 2010

I am an avid Wii exerciser. I never thought I needed 2 Wii remotes until I became addicted to Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. Boxing is much better with 2 remotes instead of the nunchuck. I bought the product used and it is in perfect condition. I'm very happy with my purchase and the price.

     not sure it wasn't used - Apr 16, 2010

I received the remote in a plastic bag with hand prints on it. Although the picture showed a white controller, the one we recieved was black.

     Wii remote - Apr 08, 2010

Not much to say... I bought it for my brother. Shipped on time, arrived timely... and has worked well for him.

     These controllers Suck - Apr 04, 2010

Bought from this specific supplier they suck. Buttons don't line up, controls have to be used differently, I'm throwing them away, disputing the charge on my American Express, and ordering direct from the manufacturer. We synched these to several friends Wiis and the sucks also, and the friends have multi-player also. So it must be - has to be - the controller. Some cheap chinese imitation made to look real.

Do NOT buy these from the same guy.

     Wii Remote controller - Mar 29, 2010

Purchased as a 2 part combo-has enabled us to have several players at the same time.

Not sure about Jcmods... - Mar 29, 2010

The Wii Remote Controller was exactly what I ordered. However, it does not work. It was not shipped in the original package, and when I went to sync it to the console it would not show the curser on the screen. I've attempted to contact Jcmods for some sort of return/refund but they have no return policy or phone number and do not reply to emails. Bottom line I got what I ordered it just does not work, so be careful when/if purchasing from Jcmods.

     Wii remote controller - Mar 27, 2010

I ordered a wii remote. it came brand new, and I was very pleased with this product. I received it very quickly and would most definitly order from here again..

Official Nintendo WII remote - Mar 27, 2010

This item was just as described and was packaged nicely. I was searching for the official WII remote as I have had problems in the past with those "aftermarket" remotes. This seller had the best price and took care of my needs. Thanks.

     Wii Remote - Mar 25, 2010

This seller is fantastic. Not only does he send it out quick, he also follows up to be sure you received the item and are pleased with the purchase. I have complete confidence in ordering anything from this seller. THANK YOU
