Coolest PS3 controller out there! - Sep 01, 2010
I bought this product to replace my stock PS3 controller from 2007 that didn't have vibration feedback. DualShock3 is an absolute must-have if you don't have it! Most games support it these days.
Now, onto the controller: The functionality is the exact same as the black DualsShock3 controller but the color is way cooler! It's not as bright as it looks in the Amazon picture, it's a mellower shade of red. If you're not sure whether you will like it, stop by your local game store and check it out but buy on Amazon because price and shipping rocks!
Not much else to say because if you own a PS3, you already know how cool these controllers are. The battery life is excellent and after at least 500+ hours of gaming on this controller, the buttons still have the same 'pop' as they did when I first bought it.
DualShock 3 Wireless Controller - Aug 31, 2010
Great product. I had been looking for an extra controller for my Playstation 3 and found this one for $44. All others like it were selling for $54. I really like the silver color.
Just like in the store; but CHEAPER!!!! - Aug 28, 2010
This item would have cost me around 54 dollars at my local walmart; ended up getting it on amazon for 10 dollars less and i couldnt have been more pleased! recieved the item brand new in retail packaging! Thanks amazon you ROCK
It's a PS3 remote - Aug 27, 2010
It's a PS3 remote and it vibrates when games tell it to, there's not much more to say. It's a bit expensive for a remote but it's either this or one of those cheap generic remotes.
Playstation 3 dualshock and Ps3 - Aug 24, 2010
I am very upset I got a ps3 remote control and from the looks of it has been opend.I hope I can get some creidt back in to my account for what i have received..This is very upsetting,I had payed full price and I got something that has been opened. Also to bring you to your attenetion that the ps3 box is a bit damaged as well.I do hope once again that I do get some creidt back for the remote control for the ps3..Please do let me know what you will be doing. Also I dont mind keeping it but I do expect some creidt back..thank you for your time.
you should know... - Aug 21, 2010
..that the weight of the controller is a bit more than that which came standard with the playstation 3. it could be something that might potentially bother you, it didn't bother me so i give it a five star. a bit noticeable when holding, but you can def tell the difference when comparing with the original. other than the weight it is a great product and once the weight doesn't bother you, you'll love it.
It's a Controller - Aug 21, 2010
What can I say, it's a controller and well it works great and looks cool.
White ps3 dualshock controller is BEAST!!! - Aug 19, 2010
From the moment i took it out of the package i fell in love with it. I ordered this white ps3 dualshock controller to replace my broken black dualshock one that i had. I also had another black controller but it wasn't dualshock so you don't even get close to the experience you have with this white dualshock controller. This controller is definately worth the price, trust me you will love it.
RED whoooooo! - Aug 18, 2010
Red dual shock controller for PS3. Red. Cool. I like it. Instruction in English, not that any are needed.
Red Devil - Aug 17, 2010
Made by Sony. Exactly as the one that came with system but its red. No complaints
dissapointed - Aug 16, 2010
i was so happy when i got this controller which i payed 50 bucks for and opened the case and realized there was no charging cord. now i have to pay for one i dont know why sony would be so greedy and not include a usb cord with their overpriced controller.
Great Controller - Aug 12, 2010
I love it! It's cheaper than any other Ps3 made controller and works the same!
PS3 Controller - Aug 10, 2010
This works great! Exactly what I wanted without the $60 pricetag you normally find. Nice solid red controller, rumble works great, battery lasts quite awhile. Been wanting a Dualshock controller for when I play Final Fantasy, and now I've got one! Great product.
I HATE the L2 and R2 buttons! - Aug 08, 2010
I like the Rumble. I like the Sixaxis. I like the wireless functionality. I like the recharging cable that comes with the controller. However, I HATE the redesigned L2/R2 buttons. What was Sony thinking? If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
The slippage-prone L2 and R2 buttons just feel "wrong" in my hands. They feel mushy and imprecise. Clipping on the Dual Trigger thingys (PS3 Dual Triggers) helps somewhat, but nothing can replace the feeling of the L2/R2 buttons on the PS2 controller. This is a good example of change just for change's sake. I bet some exec at Sony decided to leave his mark on the company's history by forcing an arbitrary change to what was already a perfect product -- well, he just ended up ruining it!
DualShock 3 Wireless Controller - Red - Aug 05, 2010
The controller isn't exactly the same color that you see on the website, it's a lighter red color, but it doesn't really matter, the controller so far works like a charm.
Just like OG! - Aug 05, 2010
This is very nice looken controller! It feels exactly like the original ones do. It's fun to watch my friends come over and trip out at the color. Thanks Amazon!
Wrist Pain Cometh - Aug 05, 2010
The Sony "Stock" controllers are a torture. Yes I know it is very much the same design as the ps2 controller, but that sucked too. They are built for people with very small hands and are just horrible. They give me all kinds of cramps and nerve pain the way the handle ends dig into the center of your palms. The left stick is poorly placed forcing you to contort your hand and get cramping in your thumb... and the "trigger" buttons blow.
I prefer the 360 controller design, so I just use a wired one w/ an adapter for the ps3 or I use the Shadow controller. I have not had any of the issues (with the shadow) mentioned in other reviews for that product.
Hope this helps.
It just isn't right - Aug 04, 2010
I bought the PS3 console new about a year ago. I'm not an avid gamer, maybe just a few hours a week. Well my controller that was included with the console worked great for about 6 months...then randomly during game play all of a sudden the controller would act as though i'm rotating the analog stick....even though i wouldn't even be touching the controller! I attempted to get a refund/exhange through Sony but they were no help as i hadn't purchased an extended warranty. Okay fine, so about 3 weeks ago I bought a brand new controller from Best Buy. And here I am now...after not even putting 15 hours of use in...the controller is DEAD! A few days ago I noticed it would not charge. And when the power finally drained, it just died. No lights, nothing. I've tried USB Ports in my computers to try re-charging. Nothing. Opened it up to inspect the battery connection. Nope. And YES i hit the reset button on the back. I'm very disappointed in the quality. When I pay a steep price for a controller, i expect it to last for at least a year (even more since i don't even play too often). And FINALLY, my STUPID! mistake: I had faith that this new controller would work so i tossed the receipt! Dumbass...ehhh. Oh well, guess im off to blow another 55 bucks on a controller. I'm keepin my papers this time!
UPDATE August 22nd: I Finally figured out the issue. I Recently updated the firmware on my PS3 and it's THAT that caused my problems with the NEWER controller. The new firmware has disabled my consoles ability to charge the controller. So i went out and blew 30 bucks on a stand alone PS3 controller charger. But this still doesn't explain my original controller went haywire after only 6 months of light use. But if u can help it, do not upgrade the firmware!!!
PS3 Dual Triggers - Aug 02, 2010
...jus to let everyone know that i found this product that fixes the faulty design of the R2 button on the ps3 controller. Its called PS3 Dual Triggers..check em out...Product Description : The Dual Triggers for the PS3 Sixaxis controller provides extra grip, comfort and leverage for gamers. We know that things can get intense in the heat of battle. These triggers add just a bit of height and are concave enough to keep your fingers from slipping. Adding more control the triggers snap right on to the controller, no glue, no mess. The triggers are a simple addition that can help increase your accuracy in racing, flight, and shooting games. With this added precision you can go on to become a gaming champion...
Great price and no issues - Aug 02, 2010
I have read some reviews that were less than stellar concerning PS3 controllers. This one had a great price and does not sacrifice any of the bells and whistles.
White Dualshock .. is terrific - Aug 01, 2010
Your Console will looks very diferent from others gamers .
If u buy a white skin for the ps3 i will completely change the style and it will be also a complement with the white dualshock .......
Now my console looks terrific, and make a differents between the other machines
sensitive controller - Jul 28, 2010

Fits in your hand just right - Jul 27, 2010
Hey all this is Sam AKA Para in the gaming review community. This is one of many gaming reviews I will be starting for Amazon, so I hope you enjoy. Going to be talking about the PS3 controller which I have to say right off the bat has a great feel to it. It is light but durable at the same time. After playing for long hours I notice no pain in my hands, just the way the designed this controller it just fits right in your hands and is not stressing out you muscles or having you to curve your hands around it just to hold it. The vibration feedback is very well and is not super strong that it feels like a back massager or making your hands go numb, but it is not also so weak that you cannot even feel it. It gives just the right amount. The motion control has been done very well and I was surprised at first but they nailed it. You don't even need a wii mote for the simple technology Sony has put in the controller lol. The triggers are in just the right position but the triggers themselves could use a bit of a lift, they just seem a bit too small. I love that everything is pressure sensitive from the triggers to the actually buttons with is great for racing games. The joy sticks are perfectly assessable and once again do not strain your hands trying to use them. Overall the controller is very nice and easy to use. Battery life is the best I have seen in a wireless controller to date. Good work Sony not changing to original controller, only improving them slightly (Don't change what isn't broken and Sony has done that with the controller). Hope this review helps and look forward for my other game reviews.
silver cheaper? - Jul 27, 2010
for some reason this silver controller was $5 cheaper than all other colors?
IMO all controllers are the same color doesn't matter.
Blue better than black - Jul 26, 2010
I needed a second rumble controller to play SpecOps in COD: Modern Warfare 2, and I went for blue. This controller is definitely better than the black one I got a while back because it is not as smooth. The smooth surface of the black controller causes sweaty hands, which I really dislike.
I am however taking couple of stars. One because the battery should last longer, and another because they wear out around the analog joysticks causing them to "stick" over time. No amount of lubrication fixes the sticking problem.
I am certain it doesn't cost a lot to make these controllers. I suspect materials selection went into the projected lifespan of the controller to ensure we come back for replacements--I am on replacements five and six.
