Very easy to set up and use but I feel like I'm replacing the batteries a lot more frequently than I had anticipated, and I'm not using cheap $1 store batteries either.

The Flip is a wonderful camera -- easy to use, extremely portable with good-looking video. The big problem is shaky video. It's impossible to hold the camera still for more than a few seconds. I've solved the problem with a pocket-sized gizmo called the readysteady. I got it online.

The camera is what to be expected, good quality for the price. We took it snorkeling on two seperate occasions once in the Carribean and once off the coast of Mexico and also to a waterpark using the underwater case that is available to purchase. I love that it easily holds 2 hours of video, pretty good quality, I love that it so easy to connect to your computer. We have had it for a long time and still have not changed the batteries, which is amazing!

Its a great camera for younger kids and teenagers who like capturing video. We use the Flip Video software and capture frame-by-frame photos from the videos once we download them to our computers, which is a great feature; however, the quality for these captured photos are not the same as you would get from a nice digital camera but still, really good. I think its a great price & good value!

I'm enjoying the camcorder...works as described. I was disappointed that there was no rechargeable battery in this sale (it did say "not included" in the description.) I bought one 2 weeks earlier from Amazon and that Flip included one.

This is a great item to have if you have kids and want to share the experience with your family and relatives who live further away!! Super easy to use and great quality vids.. I pulled it out of the box and within 10 minutes had a video up on facebook and emailed to family!! Installed it's own software from the unit in about a minute and upgraded in another minute!! Super happy with the flip!!

I have never been a camcorder person, but then I had a baby. We bought this thing on the recommendation of a friend, and it was a very worthwhile product. The software that comes with it for transferring videos is so so, but everything else about this I love. The size is great. The quality is great. Basically, for quick videos this camera is wonderful. You will enjoy going back and reliving moments from your life.

All I can say is this camcorder is awesome! I am one of those electronic types that likes ease of use. This product is incredibly easy to use from taking videos to transferring videos to your computer or to the web. I bought this product because we are learning a tap dance for our first dance for our wedding and I needed something that was portable and easy to use. I was skeptical that we would be able to learn tap dance but with this video recorder, it was possible! A great product that I think everyone should own especially if you have kids!

I think this is a fantastic product. I have used a camcorder VHS-C for many years and this is so much easier to transport and operate. I love that I just plug it into my computer and it uploads the video automatically.

I bought this for my daughter for a Christmas present, but I think I have used it more than she has, because it is so simple and convenient. I love the fact that you can plug it directly into the USB port of your computer (one less cord to lose track of!). The operation of the camera itself could not be easier, and the software that it comes with it is very intuitive. The only thing I don't like about it is that it takes 2 AA batteries, if I were to do it again I would probably get the HD version that has a built-in battery that you can re-charge just by plugging it into the computer. However, all in all I think it is a great little camera for the price and I would highly recommend it.

Great video camera. If you're looking for a easy to use no complicated video camera this is the one. I purchased two for my kids and they love them. They use the constantly. My oldest daughers husband loves to use it and down load everything on their laptop and makes home movies where he invites people over to watch them on his big screen T.V. Everyone should have one.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Thought this video camera would be somewhat difficult to use, lol, but it was ridiculously easy. So glad I bought it. I am catching such great memories of my family. Short battery life is a slight bummer, but wouldn't give it up because of that, lol.

As a grandfather weaned on video tape, I was skeptical when I first saw the Flip. Having taken it our first trip, I was blown away by the ease of use and the simple steps needed to transfer the clips to my computer. Whether you want to use the supplied software (Flipshare) or existing movie making software (e.g. iMovie), editing, making movies and transferring the results are a breeze. Picture quality suffers a bit when the zoom feature is used, but that's a price I'm willing to pay for the exceptional portability.

I wanted to find a camcorder that was inexpensive, easy to use. I also wanted to be able to share the videos on Facebook or YouTube. This camcorder met my expectations! At 1st I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I am so happy with my purchase.

I bought this Flip camcorder when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter. She is almost 4 months old now and I use my camera almost everyday. I've recorded her smiling, cooing, babbling, crying, laughing, and just recently rolling over. It's great, because within seconds of turning it on, you're ready to start recording. It's easy to capture spur of the moment events with the Flip.

I love the USB feature. It is so easy to plug it into my laptop to save and edit the videos. I have even used the photo capture feature to get a picture of my daughter smiling. I can easily upload the videos onto Facebook and YouTube, to share with my friends and family. My other camcorder saved the files in a format that had to be converted and it was a major pain. I was never able to upload videos onto the internet.

I bought Sanyo rechargeable batteries and just now, 4.5 months later, I'm on my 2nd charge. I highly recommend those batteries over the Flip battery pack.

I can't rave enough about how much I love this camera. It's just what I was looking for. An inexpensive, easy to use camcorder that I can use to take videos of my baby girl as she grows up before my eyes.

 Simple to use - Aug 02, 2010

Very simple to use. The quality is fine for what I use it for. I have been making small video's of my granddaughter to burn to disc so that she will have these when she becomes an adult. It would be nice to have a closer zoom on it though, and the battery life isn't long. Just make sure that you always carry extra batteries, which really isn't a big deal.
All in all, for a low end video camera, you can't beat the price and how simple it is to use! I almost forgot, the plug and play software is simple too!

I am somewhat frustrated and upset to be sent review notices and the item never arrived. Emails have been sent to the retailer to no avail. I would like to know what happened? Is there someway of tracking the item? It is lost, stolen, or being shipped via the Panama Canal?

Flip Ultra Camcorder, 2nd Generation 120 minutes is easy to use, one page of instructions,that's all. Very small and lightweight. The video clarity and brightness is good. I have not transfered to the computer or TV yet so can't give an opinion on that aspect. Chose this model as I was not sure of my computer or TV capability. I also like it because it uses AA batteries, nothing fancy to charge, When batteries are dead,just change. Also it is a little thicker than the Mineo, so I felt there would more stability when holding it. That's what I like, ON- PLAY-OFF.

Easy to operate, but is easy to turn on/off accidentally. The battery life is quite short-maybe 4 hours w/duracell... w/rechargeable it was less. Size is really good.
