Good job to Amazon for raising the price by $10 on their existing stock the instant Microsoft announces a price hike. I figured they'd at least keep existing stock at the right price until Microsoft officially raises the price a month from now, but apparently it was too good to pass up. Shame on Microsoft and Amazon.

Companies that lure customers with their 'deals' offset by outrageous S&H need to be dissed and derailed. That kind of practice reeks of deceit and deception. Prova*tage has a 12 month subscription for $38.41 with reasonable S&H--that's about as good as anyone will get for now.

Microsoft has just announced they will be increasing the price of Xbox Live. I highly recommend purchasing a few of these at this price. I have updated the prices below.

1 month via Microsoft = $9.99 = $9.99/month
3 months via Microsoft = $24.99 = $8.33/month
12 months via Microsoft = $59.99 = $4.99/month
12 months via Amazon = $45.00 = $3.75/month

This card comes with TWELVE (12) months of Xbox Live for cheaper than directly from Xbox. I fully recommend purchasing Live via Amazon, but the choice is yours. Also, you are in charge of if/when you pay for Xbox Live. You don't have to worry about giving your credit-card information away, paying monthly, or anything like that. This is a pretty good deal compared to what microsoft usually charges. And with the recent announcement of year membership going up to 60 bucks, it'd probably be smart to buy and/or stock up on a few now while the deals still there. Xbox live is a great online experience and all, but they charge ludicrous prices.

The price of the Xbox 360 12 month live card from Amazon.com is just amazing. At $34.54 it is the best price out there. Walmart has the same price but you have to pay $4.99 for shipping and Amazon ships free. I do believe the shipping took 11 business days to get here, not including Sundays, but was well worth the wait. It felt longer because my old live card had expired the day I ordered so I was forced to play offline. But anyways, great buy, great price!

I have not problem with the card and would possible order more. The problem I have was to pay the extra money for express delivery (which I read it to say the next business day) and received the card 4 business days later. I ordered the game on Friday and received it Thursday. It was very upsetting to pay the additional money for that type of delivery service.

XBox 360 Live is great, and buying the card online makes perfect sense since it's at a major discount.

However, the card itself is just a number, and ideally that should be available for purchase without having to wait for shipping and be a bit more eco-friendly.

Whether Xbox Live is actually worth paying for...well that's a different story.

Of course if you own a 360 you /should/ have Xbox Live sub.

But it does make the cost of ownership of the 360 really unacceptable (to me.)

3-5 years worth of subscription easily pushes past $150. On top of the money you paid for the device, the games, the wifi adapter, play and charge kit, etc etc.

Sorry but the Xbox 360 is not worth its cost.

I'm giving this 5 stars as you should get your xbox live card here on Amazon and as you should get Xbox live if you have a Xbox because it is worth it. Every penny. I am also writing this to let everyone know what price they should pay. I suggest you get it with amazon for $[...] or cheaper. I saw it jump in price twice in one week, but it eventually returned to $[...]. At the time I bought mine, the best price was $[...] with [...]... This only lasted a couple days as I now regret getting it for that price. Just remember to wait and get it for $[...].

Bang for your buck. 12 months of Xbox Live available at your disposal in this convenient disposable package. As far I am concerned this product if far better than using your credit card to pay monthly on your Xbox console. It includes step by step directions on what you need to do and the best part is you can use it at your leisure. Overall a great product.
