And with the addition of activities like Skateboarding and Rhythm Kung Fu, players will be using the Wii Balance Board accessory in a variety of new and fun ways.

    Gameplay
As with the original Wii Fit release, Wii Fit Plus is designed, as its name implies, to improve the user's fitness. The game contains a large number of activities that fall into a variety of categories, including: yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance games. With all but a few exceptions, which utilize variations on a standard Wii Remote configuration, all activities utilize the Wii Balance Board (included with this bundle), either alone or configured with either a Wii Remote alone or the Wii Remote and nunchuck. The Balance Board, like any other Wii controller acts as a motion/pressure sensing device wirelessly synched to your Wii and replicating your body's movements. Each controller employed occupies one of the Wii's four wireless inputs, together mapping the reference points needed to recreate most full body motions on screen. Although this limits the majority of the activities to a single player orientation, various activities throughout the game support up to eight players in alternating play.

To use Wii Fit Plus players import their Miis from their Wii system, set up profiles, establish a current physical baseline, set fitness goals, and embark on a routine to reach them. Wii Fit Plus tracks your usage, weight and progress towards your goal over time, giving you a status report as you start each session. At any time players can choose whatever activity they want, whether exercise or balance game, and as they progress in these they will level up in each, gaining points, setting high scores and unlocking more activities.

Personalization Option Via 'The Locker Room'
The original Wii Fit was designed to have something for everyone. Now Wii Fit Plus raises the bar by providing users with personalization options that allow them to find/create a specific workout routine that is exactly right for them, their family and their lifestyle. One example of this is "The Locker Room." Easily accessible throughout the game, here players can choose from a number customizable options that allow them to maximize their time with Wii Fit Plus without having to navigate through the game menu while in the middle of a workout. In essence this allows players to become their own personal trainer. Customization options available within The Locker Room include: preprogrammed and timed Wii Fit Plus Routines; My Routine, where you choose your own set of activities, optimizing their length and area of the body to be focused on; and Favorites, a notation of activities you frequent, which provides fast access to exercises you enjoy doing the most.

    Addition Yoga and Strength Exercises
Designed as an addition to the already substantial list of focused, physical exercises available in Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus contains six new and challenging strength and yoga activities. But continuing with the game's commitment to personalization, the key to these additions is not in their volume, but in how the player chooses to mix and match them. Do them in the order they are presented, or combine them in whatever order you want. The choice is yours. The player even has the ability to repeat the ones that he/she prefers, maximizing attention and effort where it is needed most. In addition, for those to whom time is a commodity, you can now omit unnecessary interludes between exercises, making for a continuous, timesaving routine.

A Wealth of New Balance Games
Regardless of the considerable fitness factor packed into Wii Fit Plus, the Nintendo brand is and will always be all about having fun. With that in mind Wii Fit Plus also comes packed with 15 new, entertaining balance games suitable for every member of the family. Just a few of those that players can expect to see are: Juggling; Skateboarding; Snowball Fight; Obstacle Course, a log-leaping, cannonball-evading event reminiscent of what Nintendo icon Mario must go through; and Perfect 10, a balance game designed to promote a combination of physical and mental health. In this final example the player's Mii is situated between multiple color-coated balls, each showing specific numbers, with the goal to swing your hips, hula style, in different directions to tap out a total of ten as many times as possible before time runs out.

     Wii Fit...Ok... - Aug 25, 2010

I was super excited to receive my Wii Fit. It was one more step in my goal to become motivated to work out. I had never used the Wii Fit before and did not have many friends with it either. I do like the Body Test and the Wii Fit routines. The yoga and strength exercises are very effective. I also like all of the games that comes with it! My main complaint is the lack of repetitions with the yoga and strength training and the fact that the games are always the same and always tell me how to play them. I suppose I was expecting to be able to mix it up a bit when I did the basic dance or advanced dance, but time and time again it's the same routine and I can do it in my sleep. If you have plans to purchase other games for the Balance Board then I would definitely recommend the Wii Fit Plus and the Balance Board. So while I am a little disappointed in the games and some routines I really do overall like my Wii Fit Plus and Balance Board.

The Perfect Balance of Fun and Fit! - Aug 23, 2010

In my opinion, the WiiFit Plus is the best game ever. And this is coming from probably the most unactive kid in the world. Now, I'm not fat, and I eat healthy, but I just don't feel the urge to "go out and play". My parents got this for me for my birthday, and at first I had been skeptical.

I mean, did I really want some machine telling me to get active? But nevertheless, I read the instructions and set it up. And let me tell you, I've been playing it ever since.

First, let me explain the "fun" factor. If you are debating whether to get the WiiFit or WiiFit Plus, DEFINITELY get the WiiFit Plus. The funnest part of this game is the Training Plus mini-games. My personal favorite is the Basic Run Plus, because there's so much to explore there, and so much to accomplish. These games will definitely make you smile.

And another reason to get the WiiFit Plus; the My WiiFit Plus feature. The WiiFit Plus has a long, long list of foods with how many calories they are, it has already-set workout routines designated for different goals, and if you have mixed goals, it also has the "Combine" option, and then there's the choice to make your own routine, combining your favorite strength and yoga excercises. That's something that I really enjoy.

Now, there's the health benefits. There are 5 different categories to excercise from: Training Plus, Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, and Balance Games, coming up to a total of 69 different activities. Each one is unique and exciting, so you never get bored!

Overall, I think this is a really great buy, but don't waste the cash on the Wii Fit. It's not worth it if there's this on the market.

Exercise is fun again... - Aug 23, 2010

The Wii Fit Plus Board and program are not only great fun but make it more interesting to exercise for improving my stability and stamina. It even makes me forget how bad the arthritis is in my knees! I'm quite glad I purchased the Wii and the Wii Fit Plus program and board.

     Wii Fit Plus - Aug 19, 2010

Before actually experiencing the Wii Fit Plus, I wondered if it would be another one of those fitness items that we would use a few times and then it would gather dust in the closet or basement. We have had it for over six months now and it has been fun, entertaining, and most importantly, it has helped us lose weight and get in shape. The scoring and tracking of personal accomplishments in each game has been great fun- it helped get a bit of competition going which spurred us to use it more. The games are funny, entertaining, and surprisingly challenging, all while improving your balance and overall fitness. I can understand why it was sold out for months after Christmas and we had to wait to be able to buy it. Great fun for rainy days or winter when outdoor exercise is impractical or difficult. Wii Fit Plus is a wonderful motivator to get fit.

     GREAT GAME!!! - Aug 19, 2010

I Bought This Game Used On Amazon And It's In Mint Contition I Played It For Two Hours And Didden't Even Realize The Time...L.O.L My Boyfriend Even Likes It And He Don't Like Any Of Wii's Games!! (He's More of a xbox 360 fan...l.o.l)

     Initial excitement passes - Aug 18, 2010

After the initial excitement, the game quickly lost its appeal. The tried and true toys do seem to withstand time. This one doesn't

Haven't been able to play it yet. - Aug 11, 2010

I'm obviously not very sophisticated because I didn't know I needed a console in order to play the game, so it won't be out of the box until I can afford the console.

     More than I expected - Aug 09, 2010

I thought this was just a bunch of step aerobics and yoga but it was far more engaging with all kinds of fun family games. It's a very fun interactive experience. And some games really do tire you out.

Fun, healthy, and brings my wife and I more time together. - Aug 06, 2010

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. We love to play the Wii together, and now we love to workout together. I am seriously glad that I bought this. This has to be the most fun way to lose weight while spending time with your family and staying indoors!

     WII Fit - Jul 31, 2010

Great product for those of us who are getting on in the years and don't want to be bored by working out on a treadmill or stationary bicycle. It is nice to work out and have some fun at the same time. I could of course go out and play tennis or some other physically challenging sport but when the weather is in the high to mid 90's I just can't seem to motivate myself to do so. ;-)

     Wii Fit - Jul 28, 2010

I loved this when I first got and was very faithful, but then it started to get boring and I stopped using it.

     A very nice item - Jul 27, 2010

Overall, I am really pleased with the balance board. It is not perfect in exactly reading all movements, but then again, none of the wii controllers are. Also, it is a little small for me. I am only 5'10", but standing with my feet shoulder width apart, I am almost to the edge on each side. I would say if you are over 6' tall or have wide shoulders, you may have issues with being comfortable on the board.

     Makes Excercize Fun! - Jul 20, 2010

It has helped us get into a more regular exercise routine and it is great for keeping records. I love how it can create routines for you or you can just play games for fun. I wish it had a setting for pregnant women though.

LOVE IT! Buy it today - it is SO MUCH FUN! - Jul 19, 2010

Nothing to complain about. It's a wonderful family game or individual. It tracks your progress and walks you through every exercise. We mainly like the games. They are so much fun! It's well worth the money! We bought a silicon sleeve for the balance board separately and I'm not thrilled with it. I don't know that we will leave it on long term because it's just loose enough it could be dangerous!

     Boring - Jul 12, 2010

Wasn't into the Wii Fit Plus. There was part where you can add a pet to it. But you had to hold them, then it tells you what there weight is. That's it. Now about me playing. The mini games were okay. But don't expect to lose weight or anything. I was disappointed.

     Fun and motivating - Jul 12, 2010

I received this for father's Day, having forgotten that I've been asking for it for awhile, and it was a pleasant surprise. The variety of workouts (including Yoga - which I was afraid of)is great, the daily body check is motivational, and the online coaches are very "real." Probably not for the super active workout person, althogh many of the balance and fitness games are outright fun!) it is perfect for me, an ex-athlete with a few extra pounds (well let's say I've made it from what they call obese to overweight in less than two weeks.) There is variety - the balance exercises are perfect for me (at 55 with headache issues) and it motivates me to do some exercise everyday, even getting me back on my road cycle and given me a positive outlook on where my fitness is going. I was a semi-fit overweight guy (an ex-trathlete) and this has gioven me the spark I need. The only drw back I see is it's "ideal" weight, suggestion - it tends to be unhealthily low. For me it is 132 pounds - I weight I haven't been at since I was training triahtlons, and will probably never see aging. I'd be thrilled to be 13 pounds over that.

    I highly, highly recommend this!

By the way - the name here is Nancy, she is the one who bought it for me - her husband Keith.

     fun, but... - Jul 11, 2010

This is a fun game, but if you are buying it to lose weight, look elsewhere. I use it everyday to keep track of my weight loss progress since I bought EA Sports Active game. I like the Yoga poses, as well as the balance games. They are fun....and you do get sore muscles after using it. This game now keeps track of calories burned, which is a nice feature. After a 30 minute free step exercise, I lost around 130 calories. With the EA Sports Active, that would have been 300 and I would have been dripping in sweat.

     Everything It's Advertised To Be - Jul 10, 2010

For two senior citizens, we have found the Wii Fit to be fun and challenging. No, it is not going to give you the same workout as a five mile run, but you will have more fun, stay more motivated, feel less stress, and be more secure. And, you can lose weight if you use it every day.

     GREAT EXERCISE - Jul 10, 2010

The Wii fit is very fun and it is great exercise. I have had it for a month and have already lost a few pounds.
