Easy to use. Just enlarged a picture I took ( at a drugstore kiosk) to an 8 x 10 and it is beautiful and sharp. Only problem is common to this type of camera, and that is it is difficult to see the object in sunlight through the viewfinder. Still learning to use all the options.

I did a lot of comparing between this camera and the Sony Cybershot series. Ended up with the Panasonic because of the larger optical zoom and I'm really pleased with my decision. It takes great photos. The colors are bright and true, it does really well in low light situations, and the Intelligent Auto setting is fantastic. It's small and lightweight, but still feels substantial in your hand. The screen is large and bright and the controls are easy to master. Two reasons why I didn't give it a perfect score-- 1) The menus are a little hard to navigate. It's fine once you get used to it, but there can be a lot of button-pressing to get to what you want. Fortunately, the Intelligent Auto setting takes care of most of this, so it's not a huge problem. 2) The software that comes with the camera is not Mac compatible and the camera itself has a hard time with iPhoto. I'm pretty sure iPhoto '09 took care of this problem, but for those of us who don't want to spend the money on that it kind of stinks. To get pictures on my computer, I have to use Image Capture and then move them into iPhoto manually. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know before purchasing the camera. But all in all, I am really pleased with the photos this camera takes and the HD video is nice too!! I highly recommend this one!

I bought this camera for my mom a month ago because I didn't want to share a camera with her anymore. She loves it. It takes clear photos, and everything is easy to understand. Great focus, flash, zoom etc....and very compact, but a little heavier than my Kodak m580. But I definitely would recommend this to others.

I chose this camera mostly because of the minimal shutter lag. I have cats so it was an important feature. I had really high expectations but sadly, cats still have time to move. This is my first digital camera and so far am quite pleased. It came with all the cables, recharger and battery so I think that was a good deal. The menu is easy to navigate for a novice like me.

ok let's keep this short and sweet: I've been using my camera for a tad over a month now. What I like most about the camera is the features, ease of use, and the overall picture quality.
What I dislike about the camera is that the auto white balance doesn't always work right. You have to play around with it but it's not a big deal for me. It takes awesome pictures with the macro feature, and even without it, they still capture a lot of detail. Really love the camera and would purchase it all over again.

I needed an easy camera with high clarity of pictures for my Europe vacation. It satisfied all my wants and needs for picture taking. I love this camera and would recommend it. I would even consider buying a higher technical version of this camera. The only drawback, which seems to be in all p&s cameras, is that when taking video the zoom selection you start with is what you stay with for that segment of video. LOVE this camera.

I have had this camera for a short period of time, but so far, I am impressed. It has a higher mp and better zoom than most cameras of this type. It is still small and compact, has a large viewing screen and the features are so easy to use. Also, the photos I've printed have been beautiful.

I bought this camera to replace one I have had for 5 years. The improvements in design and ease of use have come a long way. This camera is light, compact, and easy to use right out of the box. I have already taken some great pictures with it and will enjoy having this camera with me always ready to capture some memories. I even got a nice color my wife loves. I am still learning to use some of the great features and my pictures will only get better. I love the photo shop program that comes with the package. I am new to the things you can do after the pictures are loaded in to my computer. I now can forward pictures through emails thanks to this program. I would highly recomend this camera for its features, compact size and the great pictures it can take. Dont forget the price was right.

had another Panasonic lumix but dropped and broke it. Must not be making any more since I could not find anywhere. I really loved the pix I took with that camera.Although the present camera was half the price of the old camera I have been pleased with the pix. Nice clear shots. It is easy to use, lightweight and will be great for travel.

Love this little camera. Wasn't sure I would like it because it doesn't have a viewfinder but I am learning to love it. I even took some hand-held pictures of fireworks and I was very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend it especially to keep in your pocket at all times for that one miracle shot you might just get.

This camera is awesome! I own a Canon Rebel, but decided to buy a 2nd camera to use on vacations and for quick snapshots of my son around the house. It is, by far, the coolest camera I've used...and I've used a lot (and returned a lot). The clarity on the pictures - when developed - is amazing. The 8x optical zoom on this and the 14.1 MP is what makes it a great camera. The options are endless with this camera. I would definitely suggest this camera over any other if you're looking for a light, compact, and stylish camera that can get the job done whether you're at home or on vacation.
Just one word of advice:
DON'T LOSE IT! *lol*

I bought this camera for my wife to replace an older Canon she has been using for years. This is my first digital camera that is not a Canon and I have to say Panasonic has done a great job. Very good feature set. Shutter lag is nearly non existent which my wife loves. She can now get pictures of our kids with them in the frame! This camera is a really small, tight and high quality package. The zoom is awesome and the 720p video, while you are unable to use the zoom while filming, is a really nice that you have to pay another hundred dollars for with other brands. The ability to focus correctly and quickly in all situations, the detail and the color reproduction is nothing short of flawless so far. We still need to do some experimenting with low light pictures but I think those come out pretty good too. The flash does not extend too far but is effective at short range and takes some good night pictures as long as you stay within that range. I would definately reccomend this camera to anyone looking for a compact point and shoot.

If you're looking for a small point and shoot camera, this is an excellent choice. Great clear pics. I don't bother with manual settings, but it has them all. I usually use regular auto and sometimes use manual flash. I've used the Intelligent Auto for some difficult shots (up-close night shots of people with illuminated objects in the background) and it worked well. I bought the previous version a year ago and it still works perfectly. I had been looking for a purple camera for my wife, and when this new model was released in purple, I bought it. My wife never changes any settings and typical 'party' pics are very good.
A lot of camera for a point and click! - Jun 06, 2010
So far I am amazed at what this camera can do. It's just a little point and click...a PURPLE point and click I might add...but it has a lot of amazing qualities. I love all the settings, the large LCD (larger than my last camera) I adore the Burst and high-speed Burst options. That's actually why I bought the camera, it works amazing for kids and animals! I haven't had the camera more than a few weeks, and I probably still don't know half of what it can do, but what I have figured out and done with it so far, I love it.
It's easy, lots of features, burst option, macro...really takes some great pictures, and did I say it's PURPLE!
I'm not a camera guru, so having this be easy to use and take great pictures was a must, and it is!
