     Love it! - Sep 01, 2010

Got for a wedding and now have fabulous pictures...and usually my pics are blurry cause my hands shake...for the price, fantastic!

Cheap - effective and way better quality than other cameras in it's class. - Sep 01, 2010

We don't have much money and needed a $99 camera for taking pictures of our kids.

We went through three cameras at best buy returning each one because 1 in 3 pictures was blurry, overlit, etc.

Coolpix, Olympus, Panasonic - all the $99 typw cameras were terrible.

This thing has been awesome - it's bigger and more bluky but it actually takes really nice photos. Good quality, nice color, great zoom and the videos look great too.

I'd buy this one again any day over the others. It's been 6 months and zero problems.

Only downside is you need the kodak software installed to download pictures, but I download them and then shut down the software afterwards (it's uses a lot of computer memory will running.)

Babies are breath taking. - Aug 31, 2010

I have grand children from ages 2 to 25 and 2 great grand sons under a year old. I take a lot of pictures. I like this camera because it is easy to focuse and the sutter time is fast. Babies won't keep a smile or be still long at a time. I sit ready to grab the camera and take pictures when thsy come in. I always get beautiful shots. The color is good, the picture is clear, and I like the face finders to line up the shots. I think the money was well spent.Kodak EasyShare Z915 Digital Camera (Black)

     Love it - Aug 30, 2010

I purchased the camera to take family pictures on a vacation and received many compliments and requests for copies. Others in my family have much more expensive cameras but the picture quality of this camera exceeded theirs. The videos came out great as well, some were taken on a moving boat and didn't blur, pictures were crisp and clear. Great buy for the money!!!

Great camera for the price! - Aug 29, 2010

This is my second Kodak camera, and it's a big improvement over the first one. I was really not impressed with the picture quality of the first camera so was hesitant to stay with Kodak. In my mind, what Kodak offers over its rivals is VALUE. I also thought it was important to keep my money in the Upstate New York economy (yes, everything is made in China now, but a small portion of the purchase returns to Rochester, however insignificant). I love the look and feel of this camera. It is a great size for a point-and-shoot, not so small that you can't hold onto it, but not so big that it becomes burdensome. It came with a great case, USB cable, and a charger for the pair of AA batteries. Controls are easy to use, with dedicated buttons for flash and situation settings. Having a 10x optical zoom was one of the major reasons I purchased this camera. You won't find that in competitors at a similar price. As far as picture quality goes, it is fine for what I need it for, an improvement over my last model, but still lags behind Canon. Megapixels are not the only important factor in crisp pictures. I think the Kodak sensors just tend to produce more grain, which higher megapixels can help. Overall though, for the price this is one solid product.

     good camera - Aug 28, 2010

Haven't learned to use all the features yet but, like what I have learned. Takes great pictures. Downloads to the computer easily.

Great camera for the price! - Aug 27, 2010

This camera is fantastic! It takes really nice pictures and is really easy to use. I love the 10x zoom feature and the camera is not really that big to have this much zoom. I don't like the lag showing the picture to the lcd and you have to hit the capture button again to get the previous picture to go away to see what you are taking the next picture of since there is no view finder. I haven't had a problem seeing the lcd in the bright sun like some other people said in their reviews. The digital camera batteries that the camera came with (kodak brand) lasted for about 250 pictures zooming and taking movies and everything, but the rechargeable batteries that it came with only lasted about 75 pictures. I am not sure why that is, you would think that the rechargeables would last longer. So I would suggest if you don't want to carry around extra batteries that you purchase the kodak digital camera batteries. I have been really impressed by this camera especially for the price I paid. It does way more than a lot of cameras in the same price range. I would highly recommend this camera!!

     Amazing Little Camera - Aug 27, 2010

I am very impressed with the Kodak Easy Share Z915. The pictures are clear. the zoom is also clear all the way out. It has allot of the features that much more expensive Camera have. Of course it's not a DSLR, But don't underestimate it, The Z915 is closer to a point & shoot Camera. Size is a little bet biger, It 4"W X 2.3/4"T X 1.1/4", Zoom extended it is 2.1/2" Thick. It has Movie,P,A,S,M,Scn,Sport,As. On the Internal Menu the Scn. It Has: Portrait, NightPortrait, Landscape, NightLandacape, Flower, Sunset, Back Light, CandleLight, Manor/Museum, Text,Beach, Snow,Fireworks, Children, SelfPortrait, Stage. And of course "Auto". I bought mine for $99.00 on Amazon. it could sell for allot more. I see Amazon has it now for $108.00 that is still a very good price. mine was on a one day special. Oh yes do buy Lithium Batteries, They last a long time. They are worth the extra money. If I can figure out how to add Photos to this I will.

    Specs: EasyShare Z915

    10 Megapixel CCD
    10X Optical zoom lens
    Optical image stabilization
    2.5" LCD display
Smart Capture (auto scene selection) mode
SD/SDHC card slot (plus onboard memory, I'd imagine)
    Uses AA batteries
    Comes in red,blue,black,and gray.

     Seniors delite - Aug 27, 2010

What I like most being a senior is that all the picture modes
are shown on the LCD screen so there is no guess work.
    Have been taking great pictures.

     Camera review - Aug 27, 2010

I am very happy with the camera. It does what i want in a camera for taking family, outdoor and other types of photos.

The Best Digital that I've had so far! - Aug 27, 2010

I don't normally write a long review on an item (and this one won't be all-inclusive), but I have to make an exception for this camera! I saw this camera package on sale shortly before I went on vacation and wanted it on my vacation so I paid for the 3-day shipping. That was money well-spent! I am amazed(and so are others who have seen the pictures) at how well this camera takes pictures! I was really impressed with the zoom. To compare a regular shot with a zoomed shot, I took a regular shot of Haystack Rock in OR, and then zoomed in on a bird that was sitting on it. Where you could barely see that there was a bird in the regular shot, you could almost see the individual feathers in the zoomed shot! The layout of the buttons is also very well done. There is a dedicated button right next to the shutter to turn off the flash (but does not intefere with taking a picture). Just below it is a button that aids in shooting close-up shots, very nicely indeed. On the back of the camera are the delete, setup, info (help), and review buttons. If you take a picture and don't like how it looks, you can easily push the delete button and get rid of it. Even though there is a nice-sized viewer on the back, I did not find this camera eating batteries. There are so many number of preset ways to take a shot that I haven't explored them all yet, but I do like the Sport setting and the Panorama setting which allows you to take three pictures and then it threads them together very nicely for you.
As noted earlier, there are several presets that will help any photographer take a good shot. I haven't explored them all yet, but I have been impressed with the ones I have! I haven't tried out the transfer because I just pop out the micro-SD card, pop it into a reader, and transfer them that way. This is an excellent camera, one that I believe I'll have many hours of happiness with!

Pretty great camera for the price - Aug 27, 2010

It's not sleek and stylish, in fact it looks a lot like my grandpa's 35 mm camera which has been in use since the '80's. So if that's important to you, get a Nikon coolpix instead. I own a DSLR camera and was looking for an inexpensive point and shoot to take on excursions where I don't want to take a $600 camera. It's not perfect and you can't expect miracles from a $99 camera, however its does take beautiful outdoor shots and good indoor photos with a flash. I do find a lot of noise on indoor pictures but am able to reduce it considerably with photo viewing software that is on my computer. If you like to have options and not just use "auto" mode, this camera provides that. I was very impressed with how easy it is to use without ever cracking open the owner's manual.

     Worth The Money - Aug 27, 2010

I like the camera because of the construction quality, the ease of use,
the clarity of most of the pictures, a few tends to be blurry for reason I don't know. And it has a fast shutter speed especially when you turn off the view pics everytime you take a picture, really fast.
    Overall I gave it a 4.5 stars.

     Five Stars! - Aug 27, 2010

I just love this camera. The pictures are great, the movies are just as great. There are many settings to use to get just what you want. It is easy to use. If a person doesn't want to use the various settings and choices, the Smart Capture feature works very well. I have been taking digital pictures for many years and this is my 4th digital camera. The camera has not let me down on any of the many pictures and movies I have shot with it.

Pour point and shoot camera. - Aug 23, 2010

I bought this after reading the reviews and return it. The 10 MP didn't work. Indoors it had a delay between pushing the shot button and actual shutter opening. I have a 6 yr. old grandaughter and lost a lot of good shots. I have a 5 MP Konica Minolta that takes much better pictures. The flash is okay. I bought the camera in hopes that it would be a good and point camera. I like the fact that you can use 2 ea. AA batteries. We have 2 Kodak cameras at work that are 2-3 years old 3MP & 4MP and they take better pics that the Z915. This is the worst camera that I have every had.

     easy to use - Aug 23, 2010

we have no clue what we are doing...but this product was easy to use and the guide was also easy to read...it was short and to the point..i am glad we spend out money on it....cant wait to make tons of memories...

More that excellent camera for given price - Aug 22, 2010

    1. Design
Camera fits in hand very comfortable, easily can be hold by one hand. Design is simple, looks nice, note outfitted or ugly but not glamorous (if someone cares about :)).
Plastic body looks very solid, even battery lid (and lid is common weakness of plastic body cameras).
It is very compact and not heavy at all. Forget about hesitations like: Should you take your 500g and 500USD camera with you or not. :)

    2. Battery life
AA battery is an advantage for me - available everywhere, easy to find, easy to replace. I have used VARTA NiCd rechargeable - about 100 pictures, many with flash, megazoom, up-to 3 short (3-5 min) videos... With NiMH should perform better.

    3. LCD
Some may say, that 2,5' is small... but it is very bright and vivid display. Even in sunlight you still see, what you shoot - that's very important as no additional viewfinder is available (my advice - keep LCD brightness to 5).

    4. Performance and shooting
Kodak Smart Capture generally works well, picture colors are vivid, in-camera processing using Kodak Perfect Touch can also help. Automatic white balance is also intelligent, but what you may lack - manual WB feature. That's Con.
Camera gives no option for JPEG compression you can adjust. It is done automatically. Some may lack that feature for sure.
What would make you happy - PASM. Camera gives manual control over aperture, shutter, exposure compensation, flash light compensation. Bracketing function, metering... But even in manual mode camera suggests best parameters and gives histogram indication in live mode. You can do your own, but non-advanced users may find that very useful. And such suggestions also may help you to understand better how various options may be used best and do reflect on pictures.
Camera is fast - quickly turns on and ready to be used, shutter is very fast as well, but auto focus is bit slow - you may help pressing the shutter slightly, what makes camera to focus.
Megazoom, Macro mode and optical stabilization work great. You may get very cool pictures of far-away objects, shooting thru windows or fence (some photos are uploaded to Amazon - please, check).
Camera is quite. Makes almost no noise. Very useful for shooting in certain conditions, quiet environment.
Flash is also OK (and as said above additional compensation is manually adjustable). Would enable you to make nice night portraits.

    5. Menu
This is simply great. Intuitive, easily understandable, gives various hints and explanations... Even if this is your first camera - no chances to be confused or lost.

    In Conclusion
Please, read features carefully before you make a purchase to know exactly what you would get. From my side I can tell that you definitely get more than enough for this price. Nothing is ideal, but I am not disappointed at all.

Should probably add one thing - Camera shots, but that's photographr, who makes beautiful pictures. That's why reviews are so different here spreading from 1 to 5 starts. :)

     Can't Complain - Aug 19, 2010

MY WIFE IS HAPPY AND LOVES IT, NEED I SAY MORE!!!!!! and only for $99, great deal!!!

Love It! Better than the Z950 - Aug 19, 2010

I bought the z950 and thought the whole processing time thing was way too slow for me. Then I bought the m530 and didn't care for the quality of the photos or the flash. The Z915 camera is perfect for me. I already own the Z812is and needed some thing small to carry around with me. I looked at the smaller Nikons and Canons as well and they did not compare to this one. The quality of this one is much like the Z950 but it is so much faster. My photos look bright, clear and sharp! It feels good in my hands...like I have a camera in my hands. The flash is great, the timing is awesome. I've been using cameras for decades and this is my 5th digital camera. I usually go with Sony's but because I like my Z812 so much decided to stick with Kodak. Then with all of the good reviews and the sale on this one...I'm so glad I bought this one. CNET rated it one of the top 10 cameras last year. For under $100 its a steal. I paid $99 at a local office supply store. Well worth it.

     Great Camera - Aug 17, 2010

I was a tad bit skeptical because though most people had rated this camera highly, there were a few that felt the camera was a disaster. I now belong to the former, holding this camera in high regard. This is my fourth digital camera (I presently have 3) and because of the flexibility of the 10X zoom, it's my favorite. I've already experimented with it in a variety of different settings and it's performed admirably. The stabilization system is superb, the optics are bright and crisp and it handles wonderfully. It fits the hand like a glove and I'm totally impressed. I, like others, would prefer that it fit in a Kodak base for downloading and charging purposes but it's still a wonderful deal. The thing that finally made me leap into this was the fact that Staples is selling this for $99.95 this week. How is it possible to pass over this camera at that price! I really recommend this camera highly!

     Nice camera - Aug 16, 2010

I own panasonic zs3 and this one. I have to say that panasonic zs3 is much better than this one in all the aspects. However, this one is not bad. It takes very good pictures. Zoom is wonderful. Video quality is also good. You can zoom while taking video. It is also quite fast. It was less than half of the price of panasonic zs3. I am very satisfied with the purchase. I'll very much recommend this to others. I bought it for $90 and it is an awesome camera for the price.

Bought for my 14 year old daughter - Aug 13, 2010

This camera was purchased for my 14 year old daughter to replace an older easy share camera. She loves the camera and I have had an opportunity to play with it (including the panoramic mode). The picture quality is very good. Settings/controls are user friendly. I would recommend this camera as a cost effective alternative to some of the higher end camera's of the same zoom range and megapixels.

good camera, but broke after 3 months - Aug 13, 2010

I bought a cannon that did not work, so I tried this one,as my previous kodak was good. took good pictures, but was a little slow, which is common with the high zoom cameras. broke after 3 months, and returned for a new one, which I hope will last.

Great camera for the price - Aug 11, 2010

As my title says, this is a great camera for the price. It has many options for photo taking and takes great pics. Everybody who sees my photos raves about how crisp and clear they are, even when zoomed way in, using the optical zoom. However, I don't care for the additional digital zoom - it makes the pics look very grainy - so I use it as little as possible. I bought my first one a few months ago for less than $120, a real bargain at the time, and just bought my second for less than $90. An amazing bargain.

     Great camera - Great price - Aug 10, 2010

Not a DSLR, but capable of capturing very good pictures. I believe that photography is 1/3 knowledge of your equipment (working within its limitations), 1/3 lighting and 1/3 composition. I am still working on the first and this camera makes it easier.
